2018 Year in Review

2018 was an exciting roller coaster of a year all of us here at Crew. In many ways, it’s been our most exciting year yet, both for our customers and for our team members here at HQ. Before the clock strikes midnight, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and what the road ahead looks like.

Crew today does not look like the same company it did at the beginning of 2018. We started the year by moving into a brand new office in San Francisco’s Financial District. Here are just a few of the company milestones we’ve seen since then:
34 new employees hired (nearly doubling the team’s size)

  • 12 company events
  • 6 newborn babies
  • 1 very successful holiday toy drive

    What’s more exciting than our company growth is the growth our customers experienced on the platform. Crew is now live in more than 25,000 active organizations, spanning all 50 states and over 30 countries. We rolled out dozens of new features and have seen deep adoption across a variety of industries including Restaurant, Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Law Enforcement, Education, Hospitality, Salon & Spa, and more.

    It was on the heels of this growth that we thrilled to close out the year with the launch of Crew Enterprise and a new round of Series C funding led by DAG Ventures and Tenaya Capital, as well as our previous investors Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Harrison Metal and Aspect Ventures.
    We’ve already started putting those funds to work in an ambitious product roadmap for 2019, with January already shaping up to be a busy month of new product rollouts and customer activities. Of course, we’re always looking for new talent to join our crew and help us go after our mission to create more economic opportunity for front-line workers.

    Thanks to all of the customers, partners, stakeholders, and team members who contributed to making 2018 our best yet. Here’s to an unforgettable year and to an even better one to come!
